Students in the “Migrant Lives and Labor in the Upper Valley” class created a mural exploring the themes of migration and farming that is on display at the Dartmouth Organic Farm. In this video, Douglas Moody, a senior lecturer in Spanish and Portuguese languages and literatures, Gabriel Onate ’21, and Samantha Palermo ’24 discuss the project.

“I’ve definitely learned a lot from this project,” says Palermo. “Not just about how to paint and how to manage a real project, but how to work together in teams and take a diverse array of perspectives and fuse them into one final, beautiful project. I think that has been really valuable for me and something I can take with me moving forward.”
