The concert featured a premiere of work by MFA student Rodrigo Martinez Torres.
The Graduate Student Council and the Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies put on a “3 Minute Thesis Competition” last week at Moore Hall.
The April 7 event saw 17 graduate students deliver a quick pitch about their research—all talk, no slides—in front of colleagues and judges.
The winner, Reed Bratches, a PhD student at The Dartmouth Institute, took home $500 and a trophy for a presentation on how to support family caregivers by understanding and improving the communication of information from clinic visits.
The event was part of Graduate Student Appreciation Week, and the panel of judges included Guarini Dean Jon Kull ’88.
