Winter Carnival had a “Shiver Me Timbers” pirate theme, and Dartmouth students this year embraced the challenge.

Dozens took the polar bear swim in Occom Pond, others participated in ice carving and the “lifeboat” races, and still others watched an exhibition by the Dartmouth Figure Skating Club at Thompson Arena.
