Dartmouth Powwow is one of the largest student-run events on campus, and the second-largest event of its kind in the Northeast.

Senior producer Signe Taylor spent part of the winter and spring watching Ahnili Johnson-Jennings ’23 and Jessica Meikle ’23, co-chairs of Dartmouth Powwow 2023, help put together the event, scheduled for May 13 on the Green, as they contacted tribes around the country who might participate.

Both students have been dancing in powwows since they were young girls and talk about why it’s important in their lives, and how it helps build community at Dartmouth.
