Dartmouth manages about 27,000 acres of forestland in the Second College Grant in northern New Hampshire, along with timberland in other parcels, such as Mount Moosilauke.

Kevin Evans, director of woodlands operations for the Woodlands Office, talks about making hard maple furniture from some of the timber, and managing the land with carbon sequestration and sustainability in mind.
