That cliche about people will forget what you say and do, but they’ll remember how you make them feel? That was Buddy, because he poured himself into people.
Buddy is a natural leader. It’s that simple.
I saw myself very much as a custodian of books, a saver and preserver, especially as libraries began to discard any book that had not been checked out within a year.
I believe presidents Beilock and Hanlon deserve public praise for their stalwart defense of free speech, pluralism, and intellectual engagement.
Ultimately, our success is measured not by funds raised but by lives changed and the impact we are having on the world.
Dartmouth helped shape my future in extraordinary ways. Sharing my voice, perspective, and efforts by serving on the board is one way I can help pay it forward to the next generation of students.
