As part of The Dialogue Project, DCAL’s Elizabeth Hayes Alvarez will be hosting an online workshop for faculty on Handling Difficult Conversations in the Classroom. We will explore why difficult conversations become heated so quickly and how to create brave spaces that keep these important discussions happening without incivility and escalation. The one-hour online workshop will be followed up by an optional series of in-person conversations (learning community) where faculty can apply and discuss their experiences with hot topics in their classrooms. Registration required.
