Complex family dynamics and a director's comeback movie collide in this moving Cannes Grand Prix winner starring Stellan Skarsgård, Renate Reinsve and Elle Fanning.

Sisters Nora (Renate Reinsve) and Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) reunite with their estranged father, the charismatic Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), a once-renowned director who offers stage actress Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. Nora turns it down, and he gives the part to an eager Hollywood starlet (Elle Fanning), who is now caught in the middle of their complex family dynamics.

Danish Norwegian director Joachim Trier (The Worst Person in the World) won the Grand Prix at Cannes for this captivating comedy drama that explores the frayed ties that bind us to one another and to our creative selves.
