Session Description

Discuss selected experiences from my time as a pathologist working in AHCs. 

Series Learning Objective: At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able discuss new innovations in the field of pathology including general pathology, laboratory medicine, molecular pathology and/or other advanced biomedical technologies.

Target Audience:  Dept. Faculty, Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students.

Bio

Before retiring from Wake Forest University Dr. Cohen was a faculty member in the Departments of Pathology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University, the University of California San Francisco, the University of Iowa, where he was also at one time the Head of the Department and a faculty member in the Departments of Urology and Epidemiology, and the University of Utah, where he had a number of roles, including Vice Chair, a member of the Department of Orthopaedics, and inaugural ombudsman for the health sciences center. Dr. Cohen’s clinical work focused on cytopathology and urologic pathology, was an extramurally-funded investigator focused on prostate cancer, and also published in several other areas, including quality and wellness. He is board-certified in both anatomic pathology and cytopathology.
