Last year Vijay Govindarajan, the Earl C. Daum 1924 Professor of International Business at the Tuck School of Business, along with Christian Sarkar, a marketing expert, issued a challenge in a Harvard Business Review blog: why not apply the world’s best business thinking to housing the poor? Find ways to build houses that cost no more than $300. On April 20, 2011, the two authors extended the idea by launching an Open Social Co-creation Contest to meet The $300 House Challenge.
