Six local competitors—including three current and former Dartmouth golf team members—all qualified for the 2011 United States Golf Association U.S. Amateur Championship, reports the Valley News.
Peter Williamson ’12, two-time Ivy League champion; James Pleat ’13, the number two player for the Big Green; and Davis Mullany ’11, last year’s golf team captain for Dartmouth, are among the 312 golfers teeing off in Wisconsin on August 22 in a bid for golf’s top amateur title. Incoming student, Charles Edler ’15 of Fair Haven, N.J., was a first alternate.
