Forbes writer Larry Olmsted says the book has been likened to “The Omnivore’s Dilemma or Fast Food Nation of milk.”
“During his two years of research,” Olmsted writes, “Kardashian followed the trail of milk from the small pastoral farms that dot the countryside around his Vermont home to the industrial dairy plants of the Midwest, and 12,000 years back in time to the dawn of dairy farming.”
Kardashian tells Olmsted that his book “looks at the industry over the very long term, how it has evolved into what it is and whether that is good—good for consumers, farmers, the environment, the animals, our health, everything.”
