More MBA Grads Switching Careers (Bloomberg Businessweek)

Although most MBA candidates enter business school determined to switch careers, the weak economy in recent years has prevented many of them from breaking into new fields. But now, observers see a new and very different trend, Bloomberg Businessweek reports.

Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and other business schools saw a rise in the amount of job switching among graduates, the magazine reports.

Speaking to Bloomberg Businessweek, the Tuck School’s Stephen Pidgeon, associate director of career development, says, “Once again, there’s that sense that ‘I didn’t come to B-school to settle. I came to get my dream job.’ “
