Here is Dartmouth’s 2013 Commencement by the numbers: from more than 1,800 degrees awarded to more than 12,000 attendees expected.

Degrees Awarded:

Where seniors come from:

The undergraduate Class of 2013 hails from 47 states and the District of Columbia. The most-represented states are New York, California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

International students come from 41 countries. The most represented are Canada, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of Korea.

Most popular majors for the Class of 2013:

The most popular majors are economics, government, psychological and brain sciences, history, and biological sciences.

Valedictorians and Salutatorians:

The valedictorians are: Maura A. Farley of Darien, Conn.; Joshua L. Kornberg of Jericho, N.Y.; Joel Kenneth Malkin of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Anna M. Morenz of Tucson, Ariz.; and Marina Bowen Romani of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Each student earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

The salutatorians are: Anuj M. Gupta of Easton, Conn., and Veronique Lecocq of Longmont, Colo. Each student earned a 3.99 grade point average.

Phi Beta Kappa:

The Alpha of New Hampshire Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Dartmouth College will induct 107 undergraduates as new members in ceremonies to be held Saturday, June 8.
