Thinkers50, which every two years issues a ranking of top management thinkers from across the globe, has released the shortlist of nominees for its 2013 awards, reports Forbes. “Being nominated for a Thinkers50 award is largely considered akin to being nominated for an ‘Oscar’ in management and leadership thinking,” writes Forbes contributor Mike Myatt.

Professors from the Tuck School of Business are on the Thinkers50 shortlist in the following categories:

  • Strategy Award and Breakthrough Idea Award: Richard D’Aveni, the Bakala Professor of Strategy
  • Innovation Award: Ron Adner, professor of strategy and entrepreneurship; and Vijay Govindarajan, the Earl C. Daum 1924 Professor of International Business

The winners will be announced in November, notes Forbes.
