Twitter IPO: Should You Buy It? (The Wall Street Journal)

Leading up to the trading debut of Twitter, The Wall Street Journal turned to Anant Sundaram, the “valuation guru” from the Tuck School of Business, for his insights about the pricing and value of Twitter’s initial public offering.

“On an intrinsic value basis, even allowing for generous assumptions regarding growth, margins, etc., I believe Twitter is overvalued,” Sundaram, a visiting professor of business administration, tells the Journal. “I can see why the pricing is what it is. Investors look at the off-the-charts multiples for other social networking stocks such as Facebook and LinkedIn and go, ‘why not’?”
