After the release of the latest jobs report, CNBC’s Markets Now turned to the Tuck School of Business’ Matthew Slaughter for his reaction to what the data says about the current state of the U.S. economy.

When asked about the growth of the U.S. economy, Slaughter responds, “It’s growing, but not as fast as I think almost anyone would like. … Hopefully this is not as good as it gets. We need it to be better.”

Slaughter is Tuck’s associate dean for faculty, the Signal Companies’ Professor of Management, and faculty director of the Center for Global Business and Government.
