In his latest BBC column, Professor Sydney Finkelstein of the Tuck School of Business makes four predictions for the business world in 2014.

One of them: “A CEO will be fired and walk away with tens of millions of dollars in ‘severance’ pay.”

Another: “A young high-tech entrepreneur will refuse to sell his super-hot start-up for billions of dollars to Silicon Valley royalty (think Google, Facebook, Apple).”

A third prediction, which he hopes “is not wishful thinking,” is that more women “will break the glass ceiling of the C-suite in major companies,” writes Finkelstein, the Steven Roth Professor of Management at Tuck.
