In a Wall Street Journal story about mistakes that are career killers, Paul Argenti of the Tuck School of Business offers five things to help survive a crisis at work.

One of them, says Argenti, a professor of corporate communication, is to remember the words mea culpa. “When you make a mistake, it makes people feel better to understand that you agree with them,” he says.
