With the help of the Career Development Office and the alumni network, two students and one alumna spent the summer working at self-designed internships in areas of interest to them: media, renewable energy, and social impact.
Ben Chandler, Tuck ’17, found himself at National Public Radio, working on long-term strategy, valuation, and contract negotiations for the organization. Eduardo Watanabe, Tuck ’17, spent the summer as a project manager in the Global Service Operations division at Tesla Motors. And Stephanie Liu, Tuck’16, worked in Tbilisi, Georgia, for Millennium Challenge Corporation, a federal agency whose mission is to reduce poverty through economic growth and development.
“I wanted to do something in the social impact, international, and economic development space—something completely new and different from my past work experience,” says Liu.
