The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy’s lineup of winter speakers brings a broad array of perspectives to campus this winter to engage with the community.
Among the speakers will be newly elected North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein ’88, a Democrat in a swing state that President Donald Trump also won; Alex Azar II ’88, secretary of health and human services in the first Trump administration; and KT McFarland, deputy national security advisor, also in Trump’s first term.
“The Rockefeller Center’s winter term visiting speakers reflect our commitments to policy engagement, social science, and democratic dialogue,” says Research Assistant Professor Herschel Nachlis, associate director and senior policy fellow at the Rockefeller Center. “We’re fortunate to have such an accomplished, interesting, and diverse set of visitors.”
Also appearing on campus at the end of February will be Anita Hill, an attorney, educator, and advocate for women’s rights. Hill is the final speaker in the 2024 Election Speaker Series, sponsored by the Rockefeller Center and Dartmouth Dialogues, which brought in policy leaders, public officials, and analysts from across the political spectrum, including former Vice President Mike Pence and U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa. The Hill event will be moderated by author and actor Anna Deavere Smith, a 2015 Montgomery Fellow.
