First presented in 2022 and dedicated to Dartmouth, the program also includes Dartmouth-inspired premieres.

Pavel Lion (a.k.a. Psoy Korolenko), sometimes described as a “wandering scholar” and an “avant-bard,” is a multilingual singer-songwriter, translator, and lecturer. His programs typically combine original songs and translations with works by other authors and his own renditions of traditional songs in Yiddish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, English, French, and Portuguese.

This concert will feature, more extensively than usual, Psoy's original Russian-language songs translated into English, as well as songs by other authors in his own English translations.
