On April 24 and 25, college students from across the Northeast gathered at Dartmouth for the Woodsmen’s Competition, an annual celebration of the outdoors. Events included canoe racing, log rolling, axe throwing, and chainsawing, among others. The competition was founded by the Dartmouth Outing Club in 1947 and is held at Dartmouth every three years.
